Some guitar players learn the blues. Van Wilks was born to play them. A true Austin guitar legend, Van Wilks has spent decades building a reputation as one of Texas’ most electrifying blues-rock guitarists. Known for his fiery fretwork, soulful vocals, and unmistakable sound, Wilks has shared stages with some of rock and blues’ biggest names, including ZZ Top, and earned his place among the greats of the Austin music scene. Blending Texas blues, Southern rock, and a whole lot of guitar-driven grit, Van delivers the kind of live performance that reminds you why Austin earned its reputation as the Live Music Capital of the World. Come experience a piece of Austin music history with Van Wilks, live and up close at The Saxon Pub.
