1. Frazier's Long & Low
Noon to 2am every single day, with a 4.7 rating across 889 reviews, which is about as proven as a late-night rating gets in this city. It sits on Elmont Drive in southeast Austin, off the downtown circuit, so the 1am room tends to be neighborhood people rather than Sixth Street overflow. Weekly specials run through the evening: wings on Monday, two crunchy beef tacos on Taco Tuesday, and a chef's burger special on Wednesdays. Brunch runs noon to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The bar states plainly that it is not a place for children of any age.
2. Sap's Ver Fine Thai Cuisine
A full Thai kitchen on West Gate Boulevard that runs to 2am, which makes it one of the few late options in Austin that is not fried, griddled or on a bun. The 4.4 rating comes from more than 2,500 reviews, so it is a settled number rather than an early sample. The appetizer list covers Sap's rolls, fresh spring rolls, fried tofu and edamame if you want something small before the mains. South Austin location, easy parking compared with anything downtown, and a reasonable stop on the way home from the south side.
3. Hoboken Pie
Pizza by the pie on Red River until 2:30am seven days a week, with later hours on Saturday, which puts it directly in the path of anyone leaving the Red River clubs. The 4.1 rating across more than 1,000 reviews is honest: this is late-night pizza, judged as such, and the volume of reviews means the number is not going to move much. Beyond pizza there are garlic knots, a caprese salad and a cheesesteak stromboli. Monday brings a buy-one-get-one-free deal on build-your-own pizzas, and $10 cheese pizzas run weekdays from 2 to 6pm.
4. JewBoy Sliders
The East Sixth location stays open past bar close, with Tuesday hours listed to 2:30am and Monday to 1am. A 4.7 rating from 222 reviews is a good sign without being fully settled yet, so treat it as promising rather than proven. The sliders are the point: the Gringo with American cheese, Schmutz smoky aioli and pickles, or the Vato with pepper jack and hatch chile ranch. Latkes come by the basket. Being on East Sixth means you can walk to it from most of the bars on that stretch instead of driving.
5. Bamboo Bistro Westgate
The latest kitchen on this list: 2:30am Monday through Thursday and 3:30am Friday through Sunday, with doors opening in the morning. That is a genuine 3am option in far south Austin, which barely exists otherwise. The tradeoff is the rating, a 3.8 across 860 reviews, and with that many reviews the number is settled rather than a fluke. Come for the hours and the convenience, not for the best Asian food in the city. Vegetable egg rolls with sweet chili sauce head the appetizer list, and carryout is available.
6. Rosita's Al Pastor
An East Riverside institution serving family recipes since 1985, with more than 2,500 reviews behind a 4.4 rating, one of the most tested numbers in this guide. The menu runs tacos, tortas, gorditas, chalupas, quesadillas, burritos and breakfast. Opening is 8am most days and 9am on Sunday. Fair warning: the closing times were not in the material we could verify, so if you are planning a 1am al pastor run, call first rather than driving over on faith. Delivery is available through at least one local service if you would rather not leave the house.
7. Murray's Tavern
An East Austin tavern on Webberville Road that runs to midnight every night, with a reverse happy hour from 10pm to close and some drink specials limited to the 10 to 11pm window. The 4.5 rating from 403 reviews is solid and reasonably well tested. This is the pick for the hour between last dinner and last call rather than a 2am stop: the kitchen and bar both shut at midnight, Sunday openings start at 11am and every other day at noon. Reservations are taken, which is unusual for the category.
8. Zanzibar
A tiki bar on Cesar Chavez with a real food menu, open to midnight Monday through Saturday and 10pm on Sunday. The 4.8 rating across 7,980 reviews is the largest sample in this guide, so the score is about as reliable as a rating can be. Food runs to chicken katsu bao, a Kahuna burger, banh mi, jerk chicken wings, duck egg rolls and a guacapoke with ahi tuna, plus sushi, shrimp skewers and teriyaki sliders. Downtown location, walking distance from Rainey and the convention center side of town. Not an after-2am place.
9. Edge Rooftop
Ranked last because it closes earliest, not because of the food: a 4.9 rating from 5,116 reviews is the highest score here and rests on a very large sample. The published hours are 6pm to 11pm Sunday through Wednesday and 6pm to midnight Thursday through Saturday, though the bar's own social listing shows a 5pm start, so the opening time is worth confirming. Cocktails, local beer and craft drafts anchor the drink list, with Thai grilled chicken wings among the food. Treat it as an 11pm bite downtown on East 2nd rather than a post-bar stop.

The brief flagged no chains and no closures. We did drop the JewBoy Sliders location on South Lamar, since it is the same business as the East Sixth entry and this list does not run two branches of one restaurant.
