During the twentieth century, the country house in a designed landscape became a major heritage attraction in Britain. How can these sites remain relevant today? Head of Academic Partnerships Oliver Cox (V&A Museum) and Cultural Heritage Director Tarnya Cooper (National Trust) present a new proposition for the purpose of Britain's public country house that interrogates shifting conceptions of nostalgia, increasing commercialization, and changing audiences, alongside a recognition of their architectural and historical significance. Supported by the James A.D. Cox and Hanbury Endowments.
