Where to see live music in Charlottesville

Live music around Charlottesville runs from a winery patio on a Sunday afternoon to an arena tour. Downtown holds the theatres and clubs that book touring acts most nights of the week; the arena and the outdoor pavilion take the big tours; and the wineries, breweries and cideries around town book local bands on weekend afternoons, usually free with a glass. The libraries and the university add free concerts in term time.

Tickets and timing

Theatre and club shows are ticketed, with doors usually an hour before the music. Winery and brewery sets are mostly free and run two or three hours in the afternoon or early evening.
