About:Spend a late afternoon full of foraging fun with Gabrielle Cerberville, aka Chaotic Forager! This beginner-friendly, hands-on walk will begin at the library and continue along the beautiful Waynesboro Greenway. Expect an informative, entertaining, and exciting blend of plant and fungi identification education, ethical harvesting practices, ethnobotanical history, and tips for how to use nature’s bounty in your kitchen. We’ll walk at a gentle pace with frequent stops. The path will be accessible for strollers and wheelchairs the entire way, and will be under a mile. Walks typically take around 1.5 - 2 hours, with extra time at the end to talk about what we’ve found, ask lingering questions, and enjoy a foraged snack and drink together. Participation:Registration and a completed Participation Waiver are required for this event. You can download the waiver at this link, or request a printed copy at the front desk. Accommodations: Events sponsored by the Waynesboro Public Library are open to all and offered at no charge. The Library welcomes people of all abilities. Please alert the librarian at least 10 business days in advance if you need accommodation.
