The holiday calendar around Crozet starts the weekend after Thanksgiving, when the lights go on downtown and the first holiday markets open, and runs through New Year's. The first two weeks of December are the fullest: tree lightings, the holiday concerts, the Nutcracker, the craft markets and the wineries' and breweries' holiday weekends all land then. Santa visits and light displays carry on until Christmas Eve.

The Downtown Mall is lit for the season from an evening ceremony in early December, and the towns around Crozet hold their own tree lightings in the same two weeks. Drive-through and walk-through light displays at farms and resorts run on evenings through December and are usually ticketed per car or per person. Neighbourhood light displays are not listed here; the ones on this page are events a venue has put on its calendar.

Holiday markets and shows
