Greetings. We have spent the last 5 years engaging in struggle against genocide inPalenstine, and rightfully so. But who will fight for the Congo? We knowthat close to 10 million Africans perished under the genocidal maniac, KingLeopold II, but this horror continues today. The second Congo war, from1998 to 2007, resulted in close to 5 million Africans dying in that conflict. How is it possible that 5 million people died that recently and nointernational outcry resulted? In fact, many of us didn't realize the magnitudeof that loss of life. I think you know that answer. Ourresponsibility is not to participate in the silence regarding Black life. Please join us on October 22nd, 2026 at 6pm on the Campus of VirginiaCommonwealth University - Harris Hall, room 101 for a discussion with theFriends of Congo. Please spread the word and make sure to come out and geteducated on the ongoing crisis in the Congo. Shawn-- ShawnO.
