What’s it Worth? Antiques Appraisal & Care Saturday, October 17 at Maymont Have you ever wondered about the history or value of a treasured family heirloom? Bring your favorite antique or collectible to Maymont on Saturday, October 17, from 10am-2pm for expert guidance on both its care and value. Reserve a one-on-one appointment to meet with a professional conservator from the Virginia Conservation Association, who will provide recommendations for preserving and caring for your object, followed by an informal verbal appraisal from a specialist with Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates. New this year: Registration also includes admission to Maymont Mansion with a self-guided or audio tour, offering a chance to explore the history and preservation of the Gilded Age home during your visit. Registration is $25 per item or $21 for Maymont members. Advance registration is required, with one item per appointment. Items must be reasonably portable and able to be carried by one person. Fur items, gemstones and large furniture cannot be accommodated. All proceeds support the care of Maymont’s historic and natural collections.
