Eric Bettencourt is an award-winning songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer whose music weaves together strands of folk, rock, blues and whatever else happens to catch his ear. A Kerrville New Folk winner, Bettencourt has spent the better part of two decades releasing records, touring and playing stages from his original home of Portland, Maine, to his adopted home of Austin, Texas. After stepping away from regular performing to gain some perspective — and remember why he started making music in the first place — Bettencourt is back, rebooting his love of song at the Saxon Pub on Friday, November 13th, with what he considers one of the best bands he could possibly assemble anywhere on Earth: David Jimenez, Pat Byrne, Bruce Hughes and John “Morocco” Chipman.
