@ Join local advocates and practitioners for an intimate conversation with former Charlottesville Neighborhood Planner and Planning Commissioner Dr. Bruce Appleyard. This informal gathering, which will focus on conversation among equals, pairs with a large lecture at the University of Virginia on the previous night (Monday). Both sessions will focus on ways that transportation decisions shape communities and the ongoing challenge of balancing mobility, economic development, and neighborhood livability. The event is free. A variety of food and beverages will be available. Snacks will be provided. The Piedmont Mobility Alliance is a coalition of organizations, agencies, businesses and groups who share a vision of a better-connected community for walking, biking and other forms of active transportation in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
