@ As part of the Chesapeake Climate Action Network (CCAN) Action Fund’s two-week March for a Moratorium taking place throughout Virginia in October, PEC is hosting an event in Leesburg Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Loudoun County Courthouse to show solidarity in support of a Pause to Plan on data center development at the state level. Come gather with fellow neighbors, community organizations and advocates and hear from local speakers on the need for Virginia to slow down and protect our communities before approving any more data centers. Volunteer opportunity! We could use some extra pairs of hands to help make this event a success. We need people to help with event set-up and clean-up, directing and assisting participants, and facilitating group activities such as sign-making. If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up here.
