Every second Friday in 2026 come join the Charlottesville Astronomical Society for an astronomy presentation in the Education Building, with telescope observations afterwards, weather permitting. If you wish to attend, please RSVP to ivycreek@cvilleastro.com. RSVP the day before an event, if you can. Contacting CAS on the day of an event is unlikely to yield a reply, as we would be distracted / busy getting ready for the event, and may not see your email;-) If we receive no inquiries or the weather is overly cloudy, the entire event will be cancelled - with a notification posted here on the CAS calendar. In the winter months, though the presentation is at 7PM, telescope observations can begin as early as 5:30PM.
Last updated Sunday at 7:07 PM. Details can change; the venue is the authority.
